Erik Muurisepp is currently the Associate Dean for Campus Life. ?Prior to this he had been the Associate Dean and Director of Housing & Residence Life at Emerson since February 2015. ?As Associate Dean of Campus Life, Erik is responsible for managing our campus residential communities, management of student engagement & leadership, and ensuring the college takes a caring and humanistic approach to developing relationships with students and creating support networks for students in crises or at risk.
His prior experience includes roles in both residence life and student affairs at Curry College (Milton, MA), Daniel Webster College (Nashua, NH), Newbury College (Brookline, MA), the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston, MA) and Suffolk University (Boston, MA).
Erik holds a BS in Aviation Management, Airlines Operations from Daniel Webster College (NH) and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Suffolk University (MA). ?He is currently ABD as he finishes his doctorate in education (Ed.D.) from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. ?His dissertation focus in on the commodification of higher education and student consumerism. ?
Erik resides on the south shore of Massachusetts with and his spouse, Natalie and four sons, Logan, Hudson, Oliver, and Tallinn.

Kendra considers herself a proud New Englander and grew up locally south of Boston. She received her B.A Psychology and Counseling from UMass Dartmouth and hold Masters in Business Administration?from Curry College. It was during her time in undergrad where she discovered the field of higher education and helping students through their college experience. She has held many roles within residence life and housing both at public and private intuitions. ?When Kendra isn’t organizing spreadsheets and room assignments she enjoys spending time with her mini labradoodle and her family, most likely mapping out their next foodie or disney adventure!
The RDs are trained professional staff members who are responsible for the overall supervision of the Housing and Residence Life program in their hall. The RDs have training in counseling, mediation and conflict resolution, judicial affairs, programming, and other related disciplines. The RDs act as advisors, respond to emergency situations, administer judicial cases, mediate conflicts, advise hall council, and supervise the Resident Assistants (RAs) and mail/front desk operations. Make an effort to get to know your RD, as he/she is willing and able to enhance the quality of community living in your hall and encourage your growth and development as an individual.
Your RD maintains scheduled office hours within the residence hall and is available to talk to you about problems or concerns you may be experiencing. The RD is also available if your RA is unable to assist you in a matter.

Michael grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He completed his Bachelor of the Arts in Communication Studies: UNC-Wilmington then packed up and moved to Boston to complete his graduate work at Suffolk University with a Master of Education degree. On campus, Michael enjoys being involved in advising Delta Kapa Alpha and the Residence Hall Association. In his spare time, Michael enjoys exploring the city with his partner and dog. Michael considers himself a lover of bow ties, delicious cuisine, and travel.

Bralyn received his B.S. in Recreation and Sport Management from Indiana State University. He received his Masters degree in Higher Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. A native of Northern Indiana, Bralyn enjoys fishing, poetry and traveling. Bralyn has a deep rooted passion for assisting in the persistence and graduation rates of 1st generation and non-traditional students.

Desiree completed her B.A. in Crime and Justice Studies from UMass Dartmouth. She then received her Masters degree in Higher Education from Merrimack College. Desiree grew up in Sandwich, MA which is located on Cape Cod which makes one of her favorite places, the beach. When not at the beach, Desiree enjoys spending time in Boston catching a Red Sox game or eating sweets at Mike's Pastry.

Matt, a Boston native is began his Emerson career in 2013. Although he grew up in Boston Matt has been all over the country and the world. He attended Elmira College where he graduated with a degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. For Graduate School Matt attended the University of Central Arkansas where he got his degree in College Student Personnel Services and Administration. Matt also had the opportunity to Study Abroad in both India and China. He has grown to love Emerson over the past few years and could not imagine being anywhere else. Matt enjoys spending time with family, reading and walking his dog Watson.

Pronouns that Shen uses are he/him/his. Shen, born in the Philippines, raised in Charlestown, Rhode Island proudly identifies as Filipino, Japanese, Asian, and Japinoy (-American). He is a double alumni at the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Kinesiology - Exercise Science and a M.S. in College Student Personnel. He also serves as a Soldier in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Shen enjoys taking care of plants, exercising, spending time with family and friends. Shen also finds fulfillment in dismantling systems of oppression to create traditions rooted in equity.

LaKiyah, a native of Boston, MA, completed her B.A. in Psychology at Westfield State University. She then earned her Master's in Higher Education from Merrimack College. On campus, LaKiyah enjoys being involved with Residence Hall Association, Intercultural Student Affairs' Student of Color Pre-Orientation program, and SEAL. In her free time, LaKiyah enjoys bullet journaling, writing, spending time with friends and family and shopping.
